Wow this is my first time learning about an estate sale and it sounds like a hidden treasure! So jealous of all the photography books you got.

P.S. I do a lot of photography too. Let's definitely link up sometime!

This is an incredible story, Taylor. It's fascinating what you can learn through piecing together the stories of others through their belongings. Great read.

Taylor, this piece is like walking into an estate sale itself—every paragraph a shelf full of stories, some tucked behind others, waiting to be uncovered. The idea that you can meet someone so intimately through the things they leave behind feels both haunting and comforting. Ron's life seems to have folded itself into his photographs, leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for someone like you to follow. It makes me wonder: what would my own shelves say about me? Probably that I like snacks more than history, but hey, to each their legacy.

Your story made me also feel a deep connection with Ron, and not just because of his last name. His photographs of those small Kansas towns are incredible! What a fantastic piece, and a great way to honor his legacy.

I loved this portrait of Ron. Thank you for sharing it. And now I want to go to an estate sale too.

I feel as though I was granted the same treasured access to the legacy of this man through your ardent appreciation of him, his work, and the precision and care he brought to his work. Thank you for taking me with you into this world Taylor.
